Maj. Phillip Borders, 1st Special Troops Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division, gets a bird's eye view of the situation, along with two Iraqi policemen in a village near Balad, Iraq. Together the Iraqi policemen and the "Bastogne" Soldiers of the 101st, apprehended six suspected insurgents in addition to locating and destroying two vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices. Revered for its prowess at air assaults, the "Bastogne" Soldiers have seen Iraqi security forces mature into a well-disciplined, credible fighting force.
