U.S. Marine Sergeant Michael Johnson, a crew chief for an H-1 Huey Helicopter with Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 163, 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable), looks out of the door of the aircraft while conducting an aerial firing range during Exercise Bright Star, Sept. 24. The exercise is designed to enhance the interoperability and cohesiveness of coalition forces through various training scenarios, to include amphibious and combined-arms operations. The six-week exercise affords U.S. service members the opportunity to build awareness and relationships with the host nation of Egypt and fellow coalition forces.
