Hamilton and other local Marines with the Corps’ recruiting command attended the conference, continuing the 13-year partnership between the Marine Corps and the Bayou Classic. The institutions participating in the Bayou Classic exhibit the excellence in leadership the United States Marine Corps values. For 39 years, the Bayou Classic has showcased the long-standing rivalry between the Southern University Jaguars and the Gambling State University Tigers. The United States Marine Corps has been a partner of the Bayou Classic for 13 consecutive years in celebration of the hard work, courage and commitment to excellence exhibited by its many participants.
