Senior Airman Gregorey Effler and Staff Sgt. Marissa Ferguson install a strake assembly onto a GBU-38 Joint Direct Attack Munition, Aug. 7, 2008. The JDAM contains an inertial navigational system and a GPS guidance control unit that improves the accuracy of general purpose bombs in any weather condition. Sergeant Ferguson and Airman Effler, munitions handlers with the 332nd Expeditionary Maintenance Squadron, are deployed from Hill Air Force Base, Utah. Sgt. Ferguson's hometown is Sacramento. Airman Effler is originally from Hammond, La.
