Lt. Cmdr. John A. Lynott, senior orthopedic surgeon with Camp Taqaddum Surgical, 1st Supply Battalion (-) (Reinforced), 1st Marine Logistics Group, points out the embedded fragments in an Iraqi policeman's leg to Iraqi army Maj. Tahseen Muallah, medical officer from Camp Habbaniyah, before their operation to remove the fragmentation, Aug. 21, 2008. The duo worked together in the operating room to remove the fragments. With hands-on training with the Iraqis, Coalition forces hope to get them up and running in their own medical facilities soon.
