Lt. Cmdr. John A. Lynott, senior orthopedic surgeon with Camp Taqaddum Surgical, 1st Supply Battalion (-) (Reinforced), 1st Marine Logistics Group, and Iraqi army Maj. Tahseen Muallah, medical officer from Camp Habbaniyah, surgically remove fragmentation embedded in the leg of an Iraqi policeman, Aug. 21, 2008. The surgery marked the first time both US forces and Iraqi medical personnel have worked together. The goal of the partnership is to train the Iraqis so they can run their own facilities.
