    Petty Officer 3rd Class Zachariah Almaraz, an equipment operator assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 17, uses a trencher to dig path for cables at an Al Qaim, Iraq construction site. The Seabees finished construction on a camp that will house Marines assigned to the Marine Iraqi Transition Team, which will help train the Iraqi army to conduct operations in the area. NMCB-17, also known as the "Desert Battalion," is deployed to Iraq and other areas of responsibility supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom.
