Petty Officer 2nd Class Omar Shariff White, an equipment operator from Glendale, Ariz., assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 17, moves dirt that will be used in the Hescos at an Al Qaim, Iraq construction site. The Seabees finished construction on a camp that will house Marines assigned to the Marine Iraqi Transition Team, which will help train the Iraqi army to conduct operations in the area. NMCB-17, also known as the "Desert Battalion," is deployed to Iraq and other areas of operations supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom.
