Chris Loftus, a native of Honolulu, who serves as commander of Company A, 1st Battalion, 14th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, and 1st Sgt. David Dougherty, a native of Albuquerque, N.M., who serves as his senior enlisted leader, after Hammond awarded the two men with the bronze star medal at Joint Security Station Tarmiyah, northwest of Baghdad, Aug. 28, 2008.
