Capt. Chris Loftus, a native of Honolulu, who serves as commander of Company A, 1st Battalion, 14th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, Multi-National Division-Baghdad, is awarded the bronze star medal by Maj. Gen. Jeffery Hammond, the commanding general of the 4th Infantry Division and MND-B, at Joint Security Station Tarmiyah, northwest of Baghdad, Aug. 28, 2008. Hammond also presented the bronze star medal to 1st Sgt. David Dougherty, a native of Albuquerque, N.M., who serves as the senior enlisted leader of Co. A.
