Seaman Nicole Lafluer assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion - 17 pushes dirt with a D-9 Dozer which is capable of pushing 15 cubic yard of dirt. Seabees from NMCB-17 and the U.S. Army's 814th Multi-Role Bridge Company are working together on a large scale bridge building project located in western Iraq. Seabees attached to NMCB-17 are taking the lead in moving an estimated 70 thousand cubic yards of earth to aid in completion of the 300 meter Maybey-Johnson Float Bridge that will span the Euphrates River. When complete the project will help increase local commerce, trade, and travel for the Iraqi population in the area.
