Brad Williams, a Master Resilience Trainer Performance Expert with the Fort Hood Comprehensive Soldier and Family Fitness Program, observes soldiers with 1st Squadron, 3rd Cavalry Regiment, as they conduct a foot patrol during field training exercises Dec. 10, 2013. Williams was part of a team of MRTs that had trained 3rd Cav. Regt. soldiers on performance enhancement techniques that were originally used by sports psychologists for professional athletes. Williams was accompanying the foot patrol to assess the soldiers use of the stress management skills they learned during a 10-hour classroom course that focuses on things like breathing techniques, mental agility and energy control. The three pillars of the CSF2 program are performance enhancement, learning enhancement, and resilience training. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt. Ken Scar, 7th Mobile Public Affairs Detachment)
