North Carolina Army National Guard Lt. Col. Luke Burnett, the outgoing 105th Engineer Battalion commander, speaks at a change of command ceremony at Hoke County High School in Raeford, N.C., Jan. 11. During the ceremony, Burnett passed the unit flag, known as “the colors,” to Lt. Col. Rodney Newton, the incoming commander, which signified the passing of the leadership mantle.
