Command Sgt. Maj. Kenneth Wagner of the 256th Infantry Brigade Combat Team helps Mary Louise Fowler with her puppy, Peanut. Mary and her husband, Fred, were rescued from their boat by the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Department after escaping from their flooded home near Hackberry, La., on Sept. 13, 2008. The family was then dropped off by the officers at the "Lily Pad" operated by 256th and transported out to safety in National Guard vehicles.
