Georgia National Guard Sgt. Chardaunauy Blackmon, a communications noncommissioned officer with the 878th Engineer Battalion, based in Savannah, clears debris from the roadway during a mission to clear the streets from fallen tree debris in the Augusta area in the aftermath of Winter Storm Pax. Chardaunauy, a New Haven, Conn., native, has been in the guard for seven years and works as a government employee at Fort Gordon.“It feels great to help people in need,” said Blackmon.
