U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Derek Auguste, a Special Operations Command South (SOCSOUTH) jumpmaster, observes a SOCSOUTH paratrooper jumps from an MH-60 helicopter during a rotary-wing airborne operation Feb 21 over a water dropzone in Biscayne Bay near Homestead, Fla. More than 15 paratroopers took part in the airborne operation. This operation allows airborne-qualified personnel assigned to SOCSOUTH to maintain current airborne proficiency and mission readiness.
