Combat engineers aboard Camp Pendleton, Calif., face off in a pugil stick match during annual St. Patrick’s Day field meet, March 17, 2014. Engineer battalions and companies from 1st Marine Logistics Group, 1st Marine Division and the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, meet annually near St. Patrick’s Day to compete in number events to determine the best engineer battalion or company and build camaraderie, communication and morale between them.
