A young Iraqi girl faces a long wait on Oct. 1, 2008, as many needy families from the Rashid District of southern Baghdad await their opportunity to receive fresh beef during the Eid al Fitr, a festivity that marks the end of the religious month of Ramadan. Dr. Muayad Hamed, a prominent community leader, donated six cows so poor families could eat well during the festivities after the month of fasting. The humanitarian assistance aid was a collaborative effort between Muayad and Soldiers from the 404th Civil Affairs Battalion, which is attached to the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Multi-National Division - Baghdad.
