Petty Officer 2nd Class Michael Chandler works on the engine of a F/A- 18E Super Hornet assigned to the "Eagles" of Strike Fighter Squadron 115 in hangar bay three of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan. As an aviation structural mechanic (equipment) Chandler is responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on aircraft parts. Ronald Reagan is currently deployed to the 5th Fleet/NAVCENT area of responsibility. Operations in the NAVCENT area of operations are focused on reassuring regional partners of the United States' commitment to security, which promotes stability and global prosperity.
