Petty Officer 1st Class Ryan Lontos spreads the tail of an SH-60F Seahawk, assigned to the "Black Knights" of Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron 4, during a routine maintenance check in the hangar bay of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan. As an aviation electrician's mate, Lontos installs and maintains flight and engine instrument systems, which include automatic flight control, stabilization, aircraft compass, attitude reference, and inertial navigation systems. Ronald Reagan is currently deployed to the 5th Fleet/NAVCENT area of responsibility. Operations in the NAVCENT area of operations are focused on reassuring regional partners of the United States' commitment to security, which promotes stability and global prosperity.
