Petty Officer 2nd Class Roberto Vasquez performs a systems check on an SH-60F Seahawk, assigned to the "Black Knights" of Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron 4, during a routine maintenance check in the hangar bay of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reaga. As an aviation electronics technician, Vasquez repairs the electronics components of weapons, communications, radar, navigation, anti-submarine warfare sensors, electronic warfare, data link, fire control, and tactical displays. Ronald Reagan is currently deployed to the 5th Fleet/NAVCENT area of responsibility. Operations in the NAVCENT area of operations are focused on reassuring regional partners of the United States' commitment to security, which promotes stability and global prosperity.
