Lt. Cmdr. Prashanth Navaran, 39, from Brimerton, Calif., general surgeon with Camp Taqaddum Surgical, 1st Maintenance Battalion (-) (Reinforced), 1st Marine Logistics Group, provides support to a simulated casualty during a mass casualty drill, Oct. 31, 2008. Navaran worked with patients with simulated gunshot wounds. The drill required the staff to treat multiple patients with a variety of wounds. These scenarios tested the staff?s ability to react in a timely manner to situations they may encounter in a combat environment.
