Mays, 39, from Carbon Hill, Ala., an X-ray technician with Camp Taqaddum Surgical, 1st Maintenance Battalion (-) (Reinforced), 1st Marine Logistics Group, helps prepare a patient for an x-ray during a mass casualty dril, Oct. 31, 2008. The drill required the staff to treat multiple patients with a variety of wounds. These scenarios tested the staff?s ability to react in a timely manner to situations they may encounter in a combat environment.
