Louisiana Army National Guardsmen participating in the state's Officer Candidate School program at Camp Cook in Ball, La., low crawl through a barbed-wire covered obstacle filled with mud. The officer candidates completed the obstacle course, which is located at Camp Beauregard in Pineville, La., during October drill activities. The course teaches the candidates the importance of teamwork and mental ingenuity to overcome physical challenges. The candidates are currently in the nine month of the 18-month program to receive their commissions as second lieutenants.
