Richard Simcock all hold a ceremonial key May 14 during a dedication ceremony in Guinobatan, Albay province, Philippines. The key represented the passing of the new classrooms in Dona Mercedes to the community. Dedication ceremonies were held around Albay to recognize the completion of the five engineering civic assistance program sites taking place as a part of Exercise Balikatan, including renovations of a school, building of classrooms, and construction of a health center. The exercise is currently in its 30th iteration and focuses on strengthening interoperability and friendship between the two long-standing allies. Magnaye is the Balikatan 2014 exercise director. Abcede is the regional director of Department of Education Region V. Navera is the school head at Dona Mercedes Elementary School.
