A picture of Pfc. Landon Giles rests against his memorial tree, spot 61, at the Fort Stewart Warriors Walk. Giles was killed in action Feb. 26, 2005, while on patrol in Abertha, Iraq. He was an indirect fire infantryman assigned to the 6th Squadron, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division. Giles had turned 19 three weeks before his death.
