A CH-47D Chinook crew assigned to 2nd Battalion, 135th Aviation Regiment, Colorado Army National Guard, prepares the aircraft for an early morning departure at Buckley Air Force Base, in Aurora, Colo., Dec. 10, 2008. The Colorado Army National Guard aircraft is flying to Fort Carson, Colo., to give paratroopers assigned to 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne) a platform to perform airborne operations. Due to a good working relationship between 135th Aviation and 10th Special Forces Group, the aircraft will touch down only momentarily to pick up the paratroopers before flying them to the drop zone for their jump, said Chief Warrant Officer Curtis Hathcock, of Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2nd Battalion, 135th Aviation Regiment.
