Milton Montgomery awards Cadet Sabrina O'Hare from the Youth Challenge Academy (YCA) with a $1,000 scholarship during a graduation ceremony June 11 at McCrady Training Center. The YCA is a second-chance program where cadets comple the 22-week training course that helps youth by providing training in life skills, academic skills, leadership and physical fitness, which are part of the eight core components taught during the course. The program is designed to help youth acquire the basic skills and education necessary to succeed in life, which includes the opportunity to earn their General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
