Col. Randal Scott Carter, Commander of the 648th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, recalled the incident that led the Purple Heart nomination for Spc. Joshua Davis. The award ceremony was held at Fort Stewart on April 5, 2014. “These types of things are powerful,” said Carter. “We have to get the word out.”
