Audience members lined up to congratulate Spc. Joshua S. Davis for the bravery that earned the Purple Heart award. Davis was awarded the Purple Heart after he was hit by an improvised explosive device during his second month of deployment. After some recovery time, Davis returned to his unit in the sixth month of the deployment to continue his mission. “Never take life for granted,” said Davis.
