Staff Sgt. Mark Styles, an infantryman from Rochester, N.H., with C Company, 3rd Battalion, 172nd Infantry Regiment (Mountain), mans the turret of Humvee with a M2 .50 caliber machine gun during a decisive action exercise June 19, 2014. About 100 soldiers from the New Hampshire Army National Guard’s mountain company are at Ft. Polk, La. training with their parent unit, the 86th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Mountain), which is comprised of about 4,000 soldiers from 21 states.
