Lance Cpl. Devin B. Nettles, a pallet rider with Material Distribution Center, Supply Company, 1st Supply Battalion, 1st Marine Logistics Group, practices launching the Raven B unmanned aerial vehicle during the course he attended at the Marine Corps Systems Command's detachment at Camp Taqaddum. Nettles, from Americus, Ga., attended the course to learn the capabilities of the UAV. The UAV records video and takes pictures as it surveys the area. It can either be programmed to fly on its own, or be controlled manually.
