The Raven B unmanned aerial vehicle rests on the ground as students and the instructor set up the receiving equipment during a training course with the machine at Camp Taqaddum. The UAV is used for route reconnaissance and numerous other missions to increase Marine's situational awareness. If deployed correctly, the machine can provide user's accurate visual data of the area around them. The machine can follow a programmed course or can be maneuvered manually.
