Iraqi policemen prepare for the grand opening ceremony of the Arab Jabour Iraqi Police Station Jan. 11 in the Rashid District of southern Baghdad. Soldiers from the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Multi-National Division – Baghdad, partnered with the Iraqi security forces provided security and overwatch during the event. The new IP station greatly increases the number of security forces in the area by providing more uniformed policemen, explained Capt. Kip Kowalski, commander Company D, 1st Battalion, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, attached to the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Multi-National Division – Baghdad.
