Marines with Combat Logistics Battalion 3 dismount a mine-resistant ambush-protected vehicle during improvised explosive device lane training at Kandahar Air Field, Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Nov. 17, 2008. The logistics combat element Marines, part of Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force – Afghanistan, receive extensive training to recognize and locate potential threats hidden by insurgents under the dirt in Afghanistan. SPMAGTF-A Marines have experience in Afghanistan and are well suited for a variety of missions to support the needs of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
