The logistics combat element Marines are part of Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force – Afghanistan, conducting missions in southern Afghanistan's Helmand and Farah Provinces. SPMAGTF-A Marines have experience in Afghanistan, and are well suited for a variety of missions to support the needs of the government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
