Pipitone, a native of Trabuco Canyon, Calif., a section leader for Troop B, 1st Squadron, 91st Cavalry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade, observes a soldier from the Estonian Scoutspataljon (Single Scouts Infantry Battalion) as he provides covering fire during a simulated assault held July 16 in Paldiski, Estonia. Competing teams had opportunities to learn about each other’s weaponry, equipment and squad-level tactics. Approximately 600 paratroopers from the 173rd Airborne Brigade are in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland as part of Operation Atlantic Resolve to demonstrate commitment to NATO obligations and sustain interoperability with allied forces.
