A brass casing ejects from a Galil Assault Rifle as a soldier from the Estonian Scoutspataljon (Single Scouts Infantry Battalion) fires at his target July 16 in Paldiski, Estonia. The rifle and pistol range was one of nine challenges that culminated in a stress-shoot competition hosted by Troop B, 1st Squadron, 91st Cavalry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade. Competing teams had opportunities to learn about each other’s weaponry, equipment and squad-level tactics. Approximately 600 paratroopers from the 173rd Airborne Brigade are in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland as part of Operation Atlantic Resolve to demonstrate commitment to NATO obligations and sustain interoperability with allied forces.
