Two of the “Halcones Negros” paratroopers descend from the sky flying the colors of the sponsoring nations, Colombia and U.S., for the Fuerzas Comando competition at the parade field during the opening ceremony at Fort Tolemaida, Colombia, July 23. Fuerzas Comando, established in 2004, is an U.S. Southern Command-sponsored special operation skills competition and fellowship program. This event is aimed at enhancing training and strengthening regional and multinational cooperation, mutual trust, readiness, and interoperability of special operations forces in the region.
