The Colombian team stands in formation as one of 17 nations during the opening ceremony of this year’s Fuerzas Comando competition July 23 at Fort Tolemaida, Colombia. Colombia is the reigning Fuerzas Comando champion. The competition, established in 2004, is aimed at enhancing training skills, mutual trust, readiness and interoperability of Special Operations Forces in the region. Special Operations Command South, headquartered at Homestead, Fla., serves at the executing agent for the exercise.
