Petty Officer 2nd Class Gabriel Besa, U.S. Navy hospital corpsman with Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force South, and a native of Pearland, Texas, provides emergency medical care to a simulated casualty during a bi-lateral medical exchange with Brazilian Naval forces at Marambaia Island, Brazil, Aug. 6, 2014. During the exchange, U.S. Marines and Sailors had the opportunity to share tactics from their Combat Lifesaver course as part of a theater security cooperation event with the Logistics Combat Element of SPMAGTF-South. Through close cooperation, the U.S. and its partners are ready to address transnational security challenges through integrated and coordinated approaches. SPMAGTF-South is currently embarked aboard the future amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6) in support of her maiden transit, "America Visits the Americas." (U.S. Marine Corps Photo by Cpl.
