Airman 1st Class Anh Nguyen, 380th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron, pavement and heavy equipment operator uses a bull float to smooth out the surface of a concrete slab, Feb. 5. The bull float uses a paste that brings the sand and cement of the concrete mixture to the surface allowing for a smooth finish. When finished the concrete slab will be used for a food storage area for the new dining facility at the 380th Air Expeditionary Wing. Nguyen is deployed from Cannon AFB, N.M., and hails from San Bernardino, Calif.
