Airman 1st Class Anh Nguyen, 380th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron, pavement and heavy equipment operator uses a bull float to smooth out the surface of a concrete slab while Staff Sgt. Freddie Pitt prepares to smooth out the edges, Feb. 5. The bull float uses a paste that brings the sand and cement of the concrete mixture to the surface allowing for a smooth finish. When finished, the concrete slab will be used for a food storage area for the new dining facility at the 380th Air Expeditionary Wing. Airman Nguyen is deployed from Cannon Air Force Base, N.M., and hails from San Bernardino, Calif. Pitt is deployed from Bolling AFB, Washington, DC, and hails from Virginia Beach, Va.
