Master Sgt. Todd Pallas, 380th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron, pavement and heavy equipment operator runs the screed while Staff Sgt. Freddie Pitt and Airman 1st Class Francisco Batista also from the 380th ECES level the concrete for the screed, Feb. 5. The screed consolidates and levels the concrete to a flat surface. When finished, the concrete slab will be used for a food storage area for the new dining facility at the 380th Air Expeditionary Wing. Pallas is deployed from Ellsworth Air Force Base and hails from Washington. Pitt is deployed from Bolling AFB, Washington, DC, and hails from Virginia Beach, Va. Batista is deployed from Andrews AFB, Md., and hails from Providence, R.I.
