Distinguished visitors from Uruguay learn about an MV-22 Osprey presented by Marines with Marine Operational Test and Evaluation Squadron 22 (VMX-22), in direct support of Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force South, during a tour of the future amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6), Aug. 13, 2014. During the tour, the visitors saw several static displays showcasing the humanitarian assistance and disaster relief capabilities SPMAGTF-South brings to the ship. SPMAGTF-South is embarked aboard America on her maiden transit dubbed, “America Visits the Americas.” The transit aims to demonstrate the capabilities the Navy-Marine Corps team brings to our nation and partners.
