Marines with Combat Logistics Detachment 331 walk down range carrying improvised Bangalore torpedo and omnidirectional explosive devices as a part of an urban demo range August 17, at Bradshaw Field Training Area, Northern Territory, Australia, during Exercise Koolendong 14. Bangalore torpedo and omnidirectional explosives are filled with C4 and are used to breach through obstacles on the battlefield. The range focused on cross training Marines on what the capabilities of combat engineers are. Koolendong is a training evolution within The Marine Rotational Force-Darwin highlighting stability and security throughout the region. The rotational deployment of U.S. Marines affords an unprecedented combined training opportunity with our Australian allies, and improves interoperability between our forces. The Marines are with Combat Logistics Detachment 331, Combat Logistics Battalion 3. (Marine Corps Photo by Lance Cpl. Joey S. Holeman, Jr./ Released)
