Cpl. Nathan K.L. Liska ties detonation cord to a Bangalore torpedo explosive during an urban demo range August 17, at Bradshaw Field Training Area, Northern Territory, Australia, as a part of Exercise Koolendong 14. The range focused on cross training Marines on what the capabilities of combat engineers are. Koolendong is a training evolution within the Marine Rotational Force-Darwin highlighting stability and security throughout the region. The rotational deployment of U.S. Marines affords an unprecedented combined training opportunity with our Australian allies, and improves interoperability between our forces.
