M69 training grenades are staged in a box Sept. 10 during the 3rd Marine Division Annual Rifle Squad and Crew-Served Weapons Competition at the Central Training Area. Maintaining the infantry skills executed throughout the competition is vital to mission accomplishment when under operational duress. The M69 is used for grenade training to safely simulate the M67 fragmentation grenade.
