Lance Cpl. Cody T. Nations, center, from Detroit, Michigan, swims during the intermediate swimming qualification Sept. 11 as Cpl. Daniel X. Ouellette, from Manchester, New Hampshire, supervises as part of the 3rd Marine Division Annual Rifle Squad and Crew-Served Weapons Competition at the Central Training Area. The competition tested a variety of skills to include swimming and marksmanship. Ouellette is a field radio operator with 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force. Nations is a combat engineer with 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, currently assigned to 4th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III MEF, under the unit deployment program.
