Uehara Tamotsu, right, explains to Okinawa International University students how to prepare for natural disasters Sept. 30 at the Camp Foster Fire Station, Okinawa, Japan. Tamotsu is an alumnus of Okinawa International University, and fire captain of the Camp Foster Fire Station. Tamotsu, a Yomitan-son, Okinawa, native, showcased the different equipment that his team uses for natural disaster relief. The visit focused on informing the students about natural disaster preparedness, along with educating them on the strong ongoing relationship between military and Okinawa fire departments.
